What Can You Expect At MathFest?

Grade Level Competition

Students from each grade level are paired together to answer questions using their dry erase boards.  The level of difficulty will continue until only one student remains.

Mathbating Competition

Groups of five students from each grade compete while answering critical thinking questions.  Schools may have one team of five per grade level.

Math  & Science Mentors

Math and science experts and students who studied advanced mathematics and science are on hand to encourage students in math.

Milton Bradley 4430 Connect Four Game Connect Four Tournament

The strategic of Connect Four pushes students to think critically.  In our Connect Four area, we present tournaments throughout the day for all grade levels.

 Challenge 24 Tournament Competition

Challenge 24 requires students to think analytically with their basic facts.  The competition builds speed and accuracy with problems solving.  Tourneys are held throughout the day.

Baggo Bean Bag Toss Game (SET) Toss Math Tournament

This competition combines angled toss games with grade level appropriate math questions that gives students another opportunity to interact with grade level expectations.

Bingo Tournament

These fast paced BINGO Games require students to answer developmentally appropriate math problems before they can mark their answer on the cards.  It's intense fun!

ScienceFest Competition

Students throughout the State will bring their science projects to be judged.  Students bring their display boards as they  present an oral report to the judges.

MathFest Board Game Tournament

The MathFest Competition has been produced in a Board Game.  There is high intensity in  the Board Room as students compete for prizes with developmentally appropriate work.

Virtual Math Tournament

No longer are schools that are geographically unable to participate denied the opportunity to compete.  With the WEBEX Software, we allow schools across the country to compete via satellite.
